Hampshire twin murder: Robert Cerqua in court

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering his identical twin brother, who died after a fight in a house in Hampshire on New Year's Eve.

Christopher Cerqua, 31, of Langdown Road, Hythe, was found in the home the twins shared with serious injuries at about 21:00 GMT.

He was taken to hospital in Southampton but was pronounced dead at 22:20 GMT.

His brother Robert Cerqua was remanded in custody when he appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court earlier.

He will appear at Winchester Crown Court on Monday.

The cause of Mr Cerqua's death is yet to be disclosed.
