Knitters in a Hampshire town have created a 400m long scarf that has been wrapped around the only remaining British World War Two submarine.

The giant piece of clothing is being displayed on HMS Alliance in Gosport.

It was created as part of a community project involving more than 40 groups and individuals from the area.
