'Pioneering' school language scheme to be extended

A "pioneering" scheme which helps schoolchildren in Basingstoke whose first language is not English is to be extended.

The project, which sees older pupils become 'language mentors' to new children, is being rolled out across Hampshire and other parts of the country.
