A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a man found unconscious in an alleyway in Southampton.

Damon Wright, 31, of no fixed abode, entered the plea at Winchester Crown Court.

Kevin Wyeth, a 31-year-old father of three from Southampton, was found off Defender Road, Woolston, on 24 August.

Mr Wyeth was found close to the cut-through with Tankerville Road at about 02:30 BST. He died at the scene.

Post-mortem tests showed he died from head, facial and neck injuries.
