Man charged over stomach stab attack in Southampton

A35 Burgess Road, Southampton Police said the man had multiple stab wounds to his abdomen

A 45-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the stomach in a Southampton street.

The 35-year-old was attacked outside a house in Burgess Road, Swaythling just after 14:00 GMT on Saturday.

He was taken to hospital for treatment but his injuries were not serious and he has since been discharged.

The man charged is from Southampton and is due to appear before magistrates in the city on Monday.
