Portsmouth body find: Police given more time to quiz man
Detectives have been given more time to question a man on suspicion of murder after a body was found in Portsmouth.
The dead man, believed to be in his 80s, was found at a house in Greenwood Avenue in Wymering after police were called late on Sunday evening.
He is expected to be formally identified later.
A 49-year-old man, from Southsea, arrested at Portsmouth central police station shortly before 23:00 BST on Sunday, remains in custody.
Hampshire Constabulary said a post-mortem examination was held on Monday evening and the dead man's next of kin had been informed of his death.
