Basingstoke Wonderland nightclub raid: Two men deny armed robbery

Two men have denied being involved in a nightclub armed robbery where more than £10,000 in cash was stolen.

Anthony Bermingham, 39, from London, and Ashley Flanagan, 38, from Basingstoke, are charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

The charges relate to a raid at the Wonderland venue in Basingstoke, just after 13:00 GMT on 25 February.

The pair pleaded not guilty at Winchester Crown Court and will stand trial on 18 November.

Mr Bermingham, of Wolseley Street, Bermondsey was remanded in custody while Mr Flanagan, of Pinkerton Road, was released on conditional bail.

Four other people arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery - an 18-year-old woman from London, a 34-year-old man from London, a 48-year-old man from Basingstoke and a 45-year-old man from London - were released without charge.
