Southampton woman sexually assaulted in bush

A 20-year-old woman has been seriously sexually assaulted after being pulled into a bush in Southampton.

She was approached by a group of five men on West Quay Road before one of them grabbed her between 03:00 and 03:45 BST near the De Vere Hotel.

Det Insp Dave Nealon of Hampshire Police said the victim was "very shaken".

The man is described as white, aged about 20 to 22, 5ft 5in, of muscular build and with a brown trimmed beard.

His hair is short at the sides with longer hair combed over on top, known as a French crop.

Hampshire Constabulary is appealing for witnesses.
