Whiteley Village shopping centre set to open after rebuild

Help

Hundreds of people who applied for jobs at a rebuilt shopping centre near Fareham are preparing to start work.

About 2,000 people turned up at a recruitment event for the 1,000 jobs on offer at the revamped Whiteley Village, near Fareham, in March.

The centre has been redesigned after an earlier version failed to attract enough shoppers.

It is set to open on Thursday.
