A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in Portsmouth.

Keith Bevis, 31, of Fawcett Road, Southsea, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the property in Seagrove Road, Stamshaw, on Saturday afternoon.

Marc Wells, 39, of Seagrove Road, Portsmouth, was remanded in custody at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court earlier.

He is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court for a bail hearing on Friday.
