Boy arrested over 'rape of girl, 13' in Hampshire

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 13-year-old girl in woodland in Hampshire, police said.

The alleged assault took place on Tuesday afternoon in the wooded area near Darby Green Road, in Blackwater.

Officers have cordoned off an area of the woodland to gather evidence and the girl is being spoken to by specially trained officers.

A Hampshire Police spokeswoman said: "This is being treated as an isolated incident."

The boy was later bailed until 22 May.
