More than 20 schools are closed on the Isle of Wight due to snow and ice.

Persistent snowfall caused school closures and travel disruption on Monday, with the island among the UK's worst-affected areas.

At least six cars were involved in accidents on icy roads between Ryde and Brading on Monday, and several roads on the island remain closed.

The Isle of Wight Council has published a full list of school closures. No more heavy snowfall is currently forecast.
