About 100 firefighters have tackled a fire in a two-storey thatched house in a Hampshire village.

Eight fire appliances and a water carrier were called to the property in Ibthorpe just after 19:00 GMT on Thursday night.

About half of the roof was destroyed by the blaze. The first and ground floors were completely damaged by smoke and water.

It took firefighters about seven hours to bring the blaze under control.
