A new fleet of school buses has taken to the roads of the Isle of Wight.

The £5.8m investment by Southern Vectis follows the renewal of its eight-year school bus contract with Isle of Wight Council in September.

The 20 double decker and 17 single decker buses have CCTV, seat belts and wheelchair spaces.

Andrew Wickham, of Southern Vectis, said: "An eight-year contract allows us to invest in new buses, these are the latest, safest vehicles."
