Hedge End depot fire destroys coaches and mini buses

Three coaches and three mini buses have been destroyed in a fire at a depot near Southampton.

Another coach was partially damaged in the blaze on Upper Northam Drive, Hedge End on Saturday evening.

Crews from Hightown, St Mary's and a water carrier from Eastleigh tackled the flames after the fire started at 17:45 GMT.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and owners are yet to fully assess the extent of the damage.

Meanwhile, investigations continue into a fire at a derelict industrial building in Liphook on Saturday morning.

Police are treating the fire at Fairfield Graphics in Station Road, which started at 03:00 GMT, as suspicious.

An appeal for witnesses has been issued by Alton CID.
