A convicted rapist from Hampshire who went missing in August has handed himself in to police.

Leon Douglas, 41, from Fareham, was wanted by police after failing to comply with the conditions of a curfew.

Hampshire Police had been searching for Mr Douglas since 19 August and members of the public were warned not to approach him.

He was arrested at Portsmouth Central Police Station earlier, a police spokesman said.
