'Stabbing' outside Sainsbury's in Lordshill: Arrests made

Two people have been arrested as police investigate a suspected stabbing outside a Southampton supermarket.

Officers sealed off an area around Sainsbury's in Lordshill after finding a man with two suspected stab wounds to his shoulder shortly after 06:30 GMT.

The 26-year-old is being treated in hospital for serious injuries.

A 28-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman from Southampton have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The pair remain in custody for questioning while police continue to conduct forensic and CCTV inquiries in the area.
