Southsea beach torso: David Hilder denies murder charge

A man accused of murder after the headless torso of a man was found on a Hampshire beach, has denied the charge.

David Peter Hilder, 46, of Richmond Rd, Southsea, pleaded not guilty to murdering David Matthew Guy between late June and early July.

Mr Guy's torso was found in a bin liner by students on Southsea beach on 3 July. His lower body was found nearby three days later.

A trial was set for 1 July at Winchester Crown Court.
