University of Southampton place for Wajih Ahmed, 14
A 14-year-old boy from Hampshire has qualified to study for a degree at the University of Southampton.
Wajih Ahmed, from Chandler's Ford, achieved the four A-level grades he needed to study economics at the university.
Debra Humphris, pro vice-chancellor, said he was the youngest student to attend the institution.
Wajih intends to live at home during his studies and has ambitions to work for a PhD after graduating.
