Southampton mother questioned over young sons' deaths

The mother of two young brothers who died within three months of each other has been questioned on suspicion of murdering them.

Shelly Adams, 26, from Southampton, was on bail in connection with the death of her elder son Bradley, who died aged four in April last year.

When she went to answer bail on Tuesday, she was arrested again over the death of two-year-old Jayden.

He died three months earlier in January.

Bradley died at Southampton General Hospital when his life support machine was switched off.

It is believed he did not respond to treatment in hospital after he was found unconscious at home.

The circumstances of how Jayden died are not known.

A Hampshire police spokesman said Ms Adams was bailed on Wednesday until November while further investigations are carried out.
