London 2012: Diabetes girl on carrying torch

Help

As a five-year-old, Amy Wilton, from Fareham in Hampshire, was diagnosed with type one diabetes.

She has to inject insulin at least four times a day to control the level of sugar in her blood.

Otherwise Amy leads a normal life - she has just taken her GCSEs and will be off to college in September.

And that positive attitude led to her being chosen as a youth ambassador for a Juvenile Diabetes charity.

Earlier she carried the Olympic Torch through Midhurst in West Sussex.
