Hampshire fishermen saved from sinking boat
Two men had to be rescued after they were left clinging to their partially sunken boat off the coast of Hampshire.
They had been fishing four miles off Hayling Island when their anchor chain became wrapped around the propeller of the boat on Saturday afternoon.
As they tried to untangle the chain, the boat turned and was swamped by the waves, the coastguard said.
A passing yacht rescued the pair, who were suffering from hypothermia, and passed them to a lifeboat.
They were given first aid by a waiting ambulance before being allowed to go home.
A coastguard spokesman said the men told rescuers they were "grateful to be alive".
Their boat was eventually towed back to shore.
