Terrier Tinks gets head stuck in spare wheel
Tinks had to be sedated before she could be freed from the wheel
A terrier who managed to get her head stuck in the centre of a vehicle spare wheel has made a full recovery.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to Church Crookham after the eight-year-old dog, called Tinks, got into difficulty in a stable yard.
Animal rescue specialist Colin Horwood tried to free Tinks by easing her out backwards but ultimately she had to be sedated and freed by a vet.
Mr Horwood said the dog had made a full recovery since her ordeal on 11 March.
"Her owner has since disposed of the spare tyre to reduce the risk of this happening again," Mr Horwood, who is based at Hartley Wintney fire station, added.
