QE2 anchor set as landmark in Southampton
One of the QE2's bow anchors has been put on display in Southampton High Street, in its former home port.
The new monument stands outside Holy Rood Church on the QE2 Mile, a pedestrian route through the city.
The 13-tonne anchor is one of a pair that hung on the bow of the ship which sailed to Dubai from Southampton almost three years ago.
