Audio slideshow: Gosport museum tells history of diving

Memorabilia from around the world has been brought together by the Historical Diving Society for the organisation's first museum in the UK dedicated to diving.

From Victorian diving helmets, to recreational scuba gear and the latest equipment used for complex off-shore industrial tasks, the museum tells the story of how man has explored the underwater environment.

Dr John Bevan describes some of the exhibits in the museum.

The Gosport Diving Museum is open to the public on weekends and bank holidays at No 2 Battery, Stokes Bay, Gosport, Hampshire.
