Motorbike rider killed in crash in the Cotswolds

A motorcyclist has been killed in a collision with a car on a road in the Cotswolds.

It happened at about midday on the A433 between Tetbury and Cirencester, near to the junction with the A429, police said.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said the male rider was treated at the scene by paramedics but died on the way to hospital.

The road was closed while an investigation took place.

At least seven motorcyclists have died on Gloucestershire's roads in the past three months.
