Man killed in Forest of Dean van crash

A 33-year-old man has died after a van he was in left the road and crashed into trees in Gloucestershire.

The crash happened on the A48 between Blakeney and Lydney, in the Forest of Dean, just after 11:00 BST on Saturday.

Police said the man, from Gloucestershire, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The van driver also suffered serious injuries and was said to be in a stable condition. Witnesses have been urged to contact police.
