Stroud collision: Brothers, 3 and 7, seriously injured

Two young brothers have been "seriously injured" in a collision between a car and a van in Stroud, police have said.

The boys, aged three and seven, were passengers in a Nissan Qashqai which was in collision with a Ford Transit van on Thursday.

It happened at the junction of Middle Hill and Burcombe Road in Chalford at 16:55 BST.

The seven-year-old suffered a serious head injury, while the three-year-old sustained a leg injury.

They were taken to Bristol Children's Hospital for treatment.

No one else was seriously injured. Gloucestershire Police are appealing for witnesses.
