Lensbrook car crash: Two killed and one seriously hurt

Lensbrook The road was closed for five hours while an investigation took place

Two people have died and a third has been seriously injured in a car crash near Lydney in Gloucestershire.

The man, 29, and woman, 46, who were travelling in a Peugeot, died at the scene of the collision with a Mitsubishi. They were both local.

A 72-year-old woman in the Mitsubishi, also local, was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol and remains in a serious condition.

The crash happened at about 15:40 GMT on Friday at Lensbrook.

The road was closed for five hours while an investigation took place.
