Third person bailed over weapon attack on man in Gloucester

A third person has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was attacked with a bladed weapon in Gloucester.

The victim, a 47-year-old man, was taken to hospital on Friday with serious injuries.

The suspect, from Tuffley, was arrested late on Friday and bailed earlier on Monday.

Two women, a 26-year-old from Hereford and a 37-year-old from Tuffley, have already been bailed.

Police were called to Regent Street following reports of an assault outside a property at 03:40 GMT on 22 November.

Officers continue to appeal for witnesses to contact them or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
