A48 resurfacing between Broadoak and Blakeney completed

A month-long project which saw parts of the A48 in Gloucestershire closed during the day for resurfacing work has been completed.

Diversions were in force for the 7,000 commuters who use the two-mile stretch daily, between Broadoak and Blakeney.

A Gloucestershire County Council spokesman said the decision to close the busy road had been difficult.

He said the road was in "much need" of repair and the council received "lots of requests" to to improve the surface.
