4th Century Roman Villa dig begins

22 August 2013 Last updated at 21:13 BST

Archaeologists have begun excavating new areas of Chedworth Roman Villa near Cheltenham, which dates back to the 4th Century.

They are digging a part of the site that has not been touched for at least 50 years, hoping to find floor mosaics.

Records of a previous dig in the area, which took place in the 1960s, have not survived.
