WWII pilot's first flight in 50 years

A pilot who flew missions in World War II has flown for the first time in 50 years to celebrate his 90th birthday.

Ken Plowman's friends and family arranged the flight in a Cessna light aircraft from Gloucestershire Airport as a surprise present.

Mr Plowman said: "It's a wonderful experience, I can recommend it to anybody regardless of their age."
