Stroud assault: Woman charged with wounding with intent

A 50-year-old woman accused of an offence of wounding with intent has appeared in court.

Lydia Beavis, from Upper Leazes, Stroud, was charged after a 48-year-old man was attacked on Friday and appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said the victim is currently in a stable condition after being treated at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

Ms Beavis is scheduled to appear before Gloucester Crown Court on 10 May.
