Gloucestershire Police launched an investigation after a black Collie-type dog was seen chasing sheep in a field in Frocester, just off Frocester Hill.

A member of the public took hold of the dog and a woman came to collect it an hour-and-a-half later, police said.

Officers say they want to speak to the woman who collected the dog. She is described as having grey hair and was driving a blue Ford Focus car.

Anyone with information about the incident, which occurred on 9 February, is urged to contact police.
