An entertainments venue in Gloucester is offering free cinema screenings to young children with cancer.

Gloucester Guildhall has teamed up with the Paediatric Oncology Unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to offer screenings to the under 17s.

The aim is to help normalise the lives of children undergoing often traumatic medical procedures.

Chloe Homer, of the Gloucester Guildhall, said it was a "really worthy" cause to support.

"It's really important for us to give something back to our local community," she said.
