Historic Gloucestershire hotel undergoes major preservation work

One of Gloucester's most historic buildings is undergoing major preservation work.

Parts of The Fleece Hotel in Westgate Street, Gloucester - which closed in 2002 - date back to the 12th Century.

Gloucester City Council is spending £350,000 on the site in the hope of finding a new developer.

It acquired the complex last year after the building had been empty for about 10 years.
