Man trapped under recovery vehicle in Gloucestershire

A recovery vehicle driver has been rescued after getting trapped under the wheels of his truck in Gloucestershire.

Police were called to the driver, who became trapped on the A4136 at Edge End near Coleford, at 01:30 GMT.

The man was taken to hospital with suspected femur and pelvic injuries. He had been attending a call from the driver of a broken down car.

Officers will examine the vehicle for any faults and said they would inform the Health and Safety Executive.

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said the driver, from Drybrook, was conscious throughout the rescue.
