Cheltenham road closed after sewer collapses

Part of the one-way system in Cheltenham has been closed while work is carried out on a collapsed sewer.

Severn Trent Water said works on the road between St James' Street and Sandford Road could be in place for up to two weeks.

Malcolm Horn from the company said: "What we've seen is a deep dip in the road which indicates a loss of ground under the road.

"We've had to close the road so we can dig down into the sewer and repair it."
