Vintage tractor overturns near Cirencester killing woman

A 75-year-old woman has died after the vintage tractor she was driving near Cirencester overturned.

Gloucestershire Police said the woman was returning from a country show when the accident happened on Daneway Hill, Sapperton.

An air ambulance was sent to the scene, together with a rapid response vehicle and paramedic, but she had already died of her injuries.

The incident happened at about 15:15 BST on Saturday.

The road was closed for more than five hours while an investigation took place.

Police said it was thought the tractor rolled over after it clipped a grass verge.
