RIAT 2012 planes delight crowds at RAF Fairford

Apart from a couple of heavy downpours, crowds at RAF Fairford enjoyed a day of spectacular flying displays.

Some 130,000 people were expected to attend over the weekend.

Visitors on the first day were treated to the only remaining airworthy Vulcan bomber and a display by the United Arab Emirates Air Force.
