Arrest over Heybridge woman's 'unexplained' death

A man has been arrested over the death of a woman who was found with a serious head injury.

Emergency services were called to a property in Heron Way, Heybridge, Essex, at 21:25 BST on Sunday.

Paramedics could not revive the woman and she was pronounced dead a short time later. Police are treating the death as "unexplained".

A 39-year-old man had been arrested and bailed in connection with the death.

An Essex Police spokesman said a post mortem examination showed the woman's death was "caused by a serious head injury", but added "other tests will be required to establish how the injury occurred".
