Hazard team sent to Blake House maze to rescue injured woman

A "highly skilled" hazard response unit had to be sent to rescue an elderly woman injured in a maze, after paramedics struggled to get her out.
The woman was at Blake House craft centre near Braintree, Essex, when she fell over on Tuesday afternoon.
A specialist team with a stretcher was sent into the 10 acre "maize maze" to find her.
Ambulance crews had struggled get a vehicle into the maze.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the woman was then taken to Broomfield Hospital.
On its website, Blake House craft centre said the "challenging maze" is 8ft (2.4m) tall.
The Hazardous Area Response Team is described as highly skilled and able to "work in difficult environments".
