Hassan Mohammed Hassan Mohammed was stabbed twice

A man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder after a student was stabbed to death in Essex.

Hassan Mohammed, from Camberwell, south London, died after being stabbed twice in York Road, Southend, on 7 July.

Essex Police said a 21-year-old man from Westcliff-on-Sea was arrested on Monday.

A post-mortem examination showed Mr Mohammed, 24, died from blood loss from stab wounds. He was described by his family as a "friendly, caring person".

An 18-year-old man from Tottenham was charged with murder last month.
