Body found in home in Shoeburyness, Essex not suspicious

Police cordon in Shoeburyness A police investigation took place on the estate in north Shoebury

The discovery of the body of a man, believed to be in his 40s, in Shoeburyness is now not being treated as suspicious, police said.

Officers went to a property at about 06:00 GMT on Saturday after reports of a man in a "distressed state".

The man was declared dead at the scene by paramedics and police cordoned-off the area near Ravendale Way and Sharnbrook.

Police said there did not appear to have been any foul play.
