Buckhurst Hill nurse 'left urine next to breakfast'

A nurse who was found to have placed a bottle of urine beside a patient's breakfast has been suspended.

Titus Ogunjinmi also left a bloodstained item and soiled bedding in a patient's room at Holly House Hospital in Buckhurst Hill, a hearing was told.

Mr Ogunjinmi admitted not providing some medicines but denied other charges which were proved during a hearing.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council found his fitness to practise was impaired.

He was suspended for six months.

Mr Ogunjinmi had denied leaving the items in the patient's room, but the panel found against him.

The panel found that Mr Ogunjinmi, who had been employed at the private hospital as an agency nurse, had shown only "limited insight" into his failings.
