Marin Mic Marin Mic has tattoos on his chest and arms, Essex Police said

Police have appealed for help finding a man suspected of raping a woman in north Essex.

A 42-year-old woman was attacked on a footpath between Chariot Drive, Gryphon Road and Berechurch Road shortly after 16:00 GMT on 16 December.

Essex Police want to speak with Marin Mic, 36, in connection with the rape.

Previously living in the Palmers Green area of north London, Mr Mic, who has tattoos on his arms and chest, is now thought to live in the Colchester area.

Essex Police said the tattoos include one of a skull, a spider's web and a horned animal.

Det Ch Insp Simon Werrett said: "We had been working with counterparts from the Metropolitan Police in order to arrest this man, but now believe him to be in Colchester.

"We would urge him, or his family and friends to contact us so that we can question him about this assault."
