Colchester dentist suspended by General Dental Council

A dentist who falsified a patient's records to "rebut" her complaints has been suspended.

The General Dental Council heard how a patient of Kenneth Harrow received "substandard care" at Evergreen Dentistry in Stanway, Colchester.

Over nine years, Mr Harrow failed to spot the patient's gum disease and bone loss and then "falsified records".

In suspending Mr Harrow for nine months, the council said he had shown "remorse" for his "dishonesty".

"Your conduct fell short of the standards expected of a registered dental professional in a wide range of areas," the panel said.

"The committee is in no doubt that it would be regarded as deplorable by your fellow professionals."
