A woman has been accused off being involved in witness intimidation following the alleged murder of a teenager in Essex.

Jay Whiston, 17, from Clacton, was stabbed at a party in Marlowe Way, Colchester, last September.

Shannon Fenlon, 18, of Jameson Road, Clacton, has been charged with encouraging the commission of witness intimidation.

She is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates Court on 27 August.

Edward Redman, 18, of no fixed address, denies murdering Jay and has been remanded in custody until he stands trial at Chelmsford Crown Court next January.

Several other people have been arrested in connection with the alleged murder.
