Westcliff attempted murder: Pair held

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a fight in Essex.

An 18-year-old man from Dagenham and a 17-year-old boy from Southend were arrested on Sunday morning at a flat in Cossington Road, Westcliff.

A 20-year-old man from Rayleigh was attacked during a fight on Fairfax Drive in Westcliff at about 19:00 BST on Thursday, 11 July.

He was stabbed several times and taken to Southend University Hospital.

Earlier Connor Freeman, 18, of Southchurch Boulevard, Southend, was charged with attempted murder over the incident.
